A3 Open Studio continues on Tuesdays

Thursday evening wheel beginning September 10

Hi folks,

Despite the smokey conditions in Santa Fe we continue our slide talk series at our Lena Street studio today, 5:30pm.

Our focus will be on the Mingei aesthetic as it arrived in the US in the 1950's & influenced many of the potters who encountered it. Or artists - were they artists? Or ceramicists, or ceramists. 

We will discuss. Refreshments & AC provided. If you would like to attend & have just at moment, it's helpful for our planning if you'd like to complete an RSVP registration here at the website.

We are delighted that Ally, who has been working this summer on re-claiming clay in A3 & co-leading our new weekly Open Studio session, will be continuing as the leader. 

We are changing the meeting time though. The new time is Tuesdays, 3pm - 5pm.

If you're currently in a class or signed up for independent studio use in either A3 or HQ, please feel free to join this casual work session. Ally will be available for discussion & perspective on projects you're working on, either at the wheel or the glaze table. Clay is provided, and no need to sign up - just drop in.

Finally, we still have room in the new Potter's Wheel Primer class that will take place Thursdays in A3, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, with Russell Schindler teaching.
